But now it’s gone so long with so little gained, I just don’t know if I can fight anymore
Been looking all around and the fighting shows no end
I’ve come to see that it’s all a game that the warriors never win

Long nights of fighting back to back
Always ready for the enemy’s attack
So many now have died
What for and why

Maybe if it ends someday I’ll grow up to be a man myself
So unlike all the ones who died or are rotting in a darkened cell
We’ve covered snow in crimson rain and felt war’s glory
But for all those we left back home, I know it’s such a different story
